Superset For Inner Chest Muscle Building (ft. Scott Herman)
Team BSN athlete and YouTuber, Scott Herman, recently traveled down to Columbia, SC to visit the Muscle & Strength HQ.
While here he shared some of his training tips for us to share with our loyal M&S viewers.
In this video, Scott provides us with a superset finisher you can use to target your inner chest.
Check it out and add it to your own workout programs by performing 3-4 sets to finish your chest/push day.
The Inner Chest Superset
This superset finisher is perfect for those who struggle to build the inner portion of their chest. That being said, it’s important to remember that the size and shape of your chest will ultimately come down to genetics.
However, that doesn’t mean you can’t work to maximize what you already have.
For this superset you’ll start off by performing a dumbbell bench press for 10 repetitions. Then, as soon as you finish, you’ll drop down into a close grip knuckle push up and perform these until failure.
While performing the dumbbell bench press, make sure you go through the entire range of motion and focus on the stretch at the bottom of the movement. This exercise is intended to pre-exhaust your chest prior to finishing it off with the close grip knuckle push up.
As you perform the knuckle push ups, you want to focus on pressing your hands together to get the most activation in the middle chest.
Add 4 sets of these two exercises to the end of your workout and rest for 90 seconds in between each superset.
